A mobile app built for the truck, not the desk.
Your worker opens the phone and sees today. The next visit is the biggest thing on the screen, with the address, the gate code and the four buttons that matter.
Today, with nothing to hunt for
The home screen is the day, in time order. The next visit that is not finished opens by itself, with On my way, Navigate, Call and Start. On my way opens the phone’s own messaging app with the text already written in the client’s language, carrying your business name and an arrival time. The worker taps send.
- Time, client, job and short address on every card
- Navigate opens the maps app already loaded
- On my way with an arrival time of 10 to 60 minutes
- Yesterday and tomorrow are one tap away
Everything about the visit before you knock
Access notes sit at the top where nobody misses them: the gate code, the dog, the lockbox. Under that are the instructions from the office, the crew notes, the checklist and the line items. Below those are the photos and notes from the last time anyone from your team stood at this property.
- Property access notes pinned to the top
- A checklist you tick as you go
- Photos tagged before, during and after
- Earlier visits on the same job, with their photos
No signal in the crawlspace
The day is already on the phone before the truck leaves. Ticking a checklist, writing a note, taking a photo and completing a visit all work with no bars at all. The sync line says what is waiting, and the queue counts down when the signal comes back. Anything that truly needs a connection is greyed out with the reason, so nothing fails after the fact.
- Photos upload in the background, even after the app closes
- A queue you can see, with retry on anything that failed
- Sync status in plain words: up to date, waiting, offline
- App in English or Spanish, per member
Finish the visit before you pull out of the driveway
Complete is one screen. Anything left unticked on the checklist is listed, so it is a decision and not an oversight. The photo count is there, the notes field already holds whatever was typed during the visit, and confirming closes it out. If you set the rule that a visit needs at least one photo, the button waits until there is one.
- Unticked checklist items listed before you confirm
- Require a photo to complete, if you want that rule
- Reopen your own visit for an hour if you forgot something
- Record cash, check or a transfer on site when you allow it

Questions about the app in the field
What it runs on, what it does with no signal, and what a worker can see.
Which phones does it run on?
iPhone and Android, as a real app installed on the phone rather than a web page in a browser. The camera, the maps app and the messaging app it uses are the ones already on the phone.
What actually works with no signal?
Today’s visits and their detail, checklists, notes, photos and completing a visit. Everything queues on the phone, the app tells you how many items are waiting, and it all syncs when the signal comes back. Taking a payment is the one thing that needs a connection.
Who sends the on my way text?
The worker’s own phone does, from their own messaging app, with the words already written. Foldrule fills in your business name, the worker’s first name and the arrival time, in the client’s language. Appointment reminders are separate and go out from Foldrule with your business name in them.
Do workers see prices and invoices?
Not unless you turn it on. By default a worker sees line names and quantities with no totals, and never sees an invoice. There is one setting for prices and a separate one for the client’s past jobs and photos.
Can a worker take a payment at the door?
If you allow it. They can record cash, a check or a transfer against the invoice balance for a job they are on, the client gets a receipt, and you are told. It needs a connection, because money is never queued offline.
Is the app an extra charge?
No. The app is part of the flat price, for everyone on the team. Owners and admins get the whole product on the phone, not a cut down version of it.
Put the job in their pocket.
