A quote does two jobs at once. It tells the customer what the work is, in enough detail that nobody argues later, and it tells them what it costs in a way that reads like a business rather than a text message. Most of the quotes that lose to a competitor lose on the second one.
So this page keeps the shape a customer expects: who it is from, who it is for, a dated number, the work as separate lines with quantities and prices, tax worked out on the taxable part, and a deposit if you take one. Print it and you get that on one page with no browser furniture around it.
What it cannot do is remember anything. Close the tab and the quote is gone, which is fine for the one you are writing tonight and a problem by the twentieth. That is the line where a job record starts paying for itself, and it is exactly what Foldrule is.

What it does, and where it stops.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the page, fill it in, print it. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to install.
How do I get a PDF?
Use the print button and choose Save as PDF in the print dialog. Every browser on a laptop and a phone can do it.
Can I put my logo on it?
Not on this page. Your business name and address print at the top, which is what a quote legally needs. Branded documents are part of the product.
Is the tax calculation right for my state?
It applies the rate you type to the taxable lines and rounds once. It does not know your state or look a rate up, so use the rate you charge.
Can the customer approve it online?
Not from here. This prints a document. Sending a quote the customer approves with a signature, which then becomes a job, is what Foldrule does.
Will my quote still be here tomorrow?
No, and that is deliberate. Nothing is stored anywhere, so close the tab and it is gone. Print it before you leave.
